It’s definitely worth reading IMHO, and a very rewarding experience – it just lacks the quality of making you want to read it right from the first page that Stephenson’s other work has often had. Wne you’ve finished it, then it’s a great doorstop in to the bargain!

Stone’s Fall was my favourite book of the year, so I’m pleased to see it on your list. There have been lots of amazing books this year, so writing lists like this is always tough.
