I love the idea of this book and can't wait to get hold of it, as it ticks so many of my boxes - history, science, intrigue, London and a rattling good story. Surely anyone who read Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle will be up for this too won't they?

My thanks for such a generous notice. I'm very glad that in your eyes, at least, I achieved one of my chief ends -- to place Newton into a much broader historical story than that with which he is usually connected.
