I loved it so much, that I convinced a few teachers they should buy multiple copies for their classrooms. It's wonderful. Sometimes it reminded me of Huckleberry Finn, sometimes of Nick Bantock's gorgeous work, sometimes it was so wholly itself that it became impossible to describe. The drawings and marginalia are great, and you're right, the narration is spot on. I LOVED this book.
